How to convert HEIC to JPG

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhones. It saves space, but many Windows apps, websites and forms cannot open it. JPG works everywhere.

Steps

  1. Click the box above, or drag your HEIC / HEIF photos into it. You can add many at once.
  2. Leave quality at 90% for a sharp result with a small file, or move the slider to suit you.
  3. Wait a few seconds while each photo converts on your device.
  4. Press Download next to a photo, or Download all (ZIP) to get everything in one file.

Why convert HEIC to JPG?

  • JPG opens on every phone, computer, editor and website.
  • Many upload forms (visa, job, school and government portals) only accept JPG.
  • Easy to attach to email and share on WhatsApp or social media.

Frequently asked questions

Is this HEIC to JPG converter free and private?

Yes. It is free with no limit on files, and the conversion runs inside your browser. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers.

Will I lose quality?

JPG is a compressed format, so there is a small change, but at 90% quality and above it is rarely visible. Use 100% for the best result.

Why is the first conversion slower?

Some browsers cannot read HEIC on their own, so a small decoder is downloaded once the first time you convert. After that it is much faster.

How can my iPhone take JPG photos instead?

On the iPhone, open Settings > Camera > Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will then be saved as JPG.

Does it keep my photo orientation?

Yes, photos are converted the right way up. Some metadata such as location may not be kept in the converted file.

More free converters

100% client-side. Your images are converted inside your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. The first conversion in browsers without built-in HEIC support downloads a small decoder (about 1 MB) once; your photos themselves never leave your device.
