How to Play

Word Guess: type or tap letters to guess the hidden word. Press Enter to submit. You have a limited number of attempts, shown above the board.

Vocabulary: read the question and choose the correct answer. Questions ask for meanings, matching words, synonyms or antonyms.

Sentences: fill the blank with the missing word. Basic and Medium use multiple choice; Advanced asks you to type the answer.

Daily Word: one official puzzle per language each day. Everyone gets the same word. Progress is saved in your browser and you can play only one official attempt per day.

Timed Sprint: answer as many questions as you can before time runs out.

Scoring: correct answers earn points, harder levels earn more, and bonuses are awarded for streaks and for solving Word Guess with attempts to spare. Using a hint costs a few points.

Game Rules

Letter colours: a teal tile with a tick means the letter is in the right place. An amber tile with a dot means the letter is in the word but in another position. A grey tile with a dash means the letter is not in the word. Symbols are shown as well as colours.

Levels: Basic uses short, common words with more attempts and hints. Medium uses longer words and fewer hints. Advanced uses less common words, fewer attempts and tighter time limits.

Streaks: every correct answer in a row adds to your streak. A wrong answer or a lost game resets it.

Timed rounds: the clock starts when you press Start and stops when time runs out or you leave the mode.

Privacy

Your progress, statistics, theme and daily puzzle state are stored only in this browser using local storage. Nothing about your play is sent to the website server. The page requests the word lists from this site's own server; no third-party services are used. Clearing your browser data or switching device will remove your local progress.

Limitations

Starter word lists for languages other than English are small and should be extended and reviewed by native speakers. If a language has too few words for a game, a message is shown instead of a puzzle. For languages written in Devanagari and Malayalam, each tile is one letter cluster, so use the on-screen keys or your system keyboard for that language. There is no global leaderboard; scores are kept locally. A modern browser (recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the daily word change?
At midnight in the website's time zone. A countdown shows the time remaining.

Why did my progress disappear?
Progress is stored in your browser. Clearing site data or using another device starts fresh.

Can I replay the daily word?
The official daily attempt can be played once. Use Word Guess for unlimited practice.

How are scores calculated?
(Base points + attempt bonus) × level multiplier, plus a streak bonus, minus hint penalties.

How do I restart?
Press New Game, Restart or Next Question. Resetting your statistics is available in the Statistics panel.
